Artist's Comments

There is an obvious referencing of the one-eyed woman, to masks, and Japanese prints by Shunko and Hokusai. This group of drawings was a parody of sorts, on black velvet painting, and meant to be somewhat kitsch. There were about 10 drawings and 4 paintings in this grouping that were never exhibited.
